Farewell Bill and Jocie

It was a night of reminiscing last Friday when club stalwarts Bill and Jocie (pictured left with their bon voyage gifts) were farewelled. Bill has been associated with the aero club since 1958 when he learnt to fly under the supervision of CFI Ewen Jones. Since then he enjoyed a career of four years crop dusting with Col Pay, 25 years with Ansett Airlines and 11 years with Singapore Airlines - a total of 23,400 flying hours, finishing with airlines on B747-400 aircraft in February 2001.
Bill and Jocie moved to Dubbo after living in Singapore and renewed their association with the club. Bill has been a board member for several years and both have always been more than willing and able to assist as volunteers whenever called upon.
Being two of the most popular members of our club they will be greatly missed. All of us wish them good health and happiness in the next phase of their lives in Victoria and hope they will be back to see us whenever possible.

We will all miss this happy couple at Narromine Aero club. They have property here so they will be back to visit. Bill's flying report was great.
